Haitian migrants risk lives

Every year thousands of illegal Haitian migrants are taking dangerous risks to flee a country whose economy can barely stay afloat.

Officials say the perilous journey is part of a criminal trafficking scheme which many Haitians pay for with their lives.

Yet many of those seeking to migrate say they are not deterred by the risks because they have no choice and no future in Haiti. Teresa Bo reports from Cap Haitien, Haiti's second largest city.
