May 4, 2007: Coast Guard reports that a Turks and Caicos police patrol boat was towing the migrants' sailboat to shore when it ran into rough seas and the sailboat capsized. About 160 Haitian migrants were aboard the sailboat, according to survivors. The deat toll was 54 with as many as 28 missing.
