According to news reports today, the government of Haiti warned its people that live along mountain sides to seek a more secure shelter as the category 4 Hurricane Dean approaches the Haiti, Dominican Republic, and nearby Caribbean islands. In 1994 Hurricane Jeanne took more than 1900 lives and left 900 people missing in Haiti.
