Physical Therapy Assistant Certification

The physical therapy assistant certification has seen tremendous growth as demand rises and baby boomers continue to retire. High demands for healthcare degrees and/or certifications in physical therapy is still expected to continue. With the rising aging population, increasing healthcare awareness, occupations that involve high risk of getting injured; all have led to the rise in demand for physical therapist assistant.

A physical therapist assistant works with a physical therapist or PT to treat patients suffering from mobility problems due to accident, illness or other chronic condition that prevent them from performing their day to day activities. PTAs work very closely with the patient and hence are required to be completely qualified and suitable for this job. Their job is not only challenging but also very demanding since the well being of others is in their hands.
